Break Through at Russia Wharf

On January 14th, 2004 workers broke through the last mined tunnel section under the historic Russia Wharf Building in Boston, MA. Excavation and initial support was finished in the last week of February and the waterproofing system and the final lining is expected to be finished on the end of March. The Dr. Sauer Group provided the design for the binocular shaped NATM tunnel and was on site for construction support.
