Beacon Hill Progress: Slurry Wall Construction in Progress

Tuesday, February 22, 2005

The construction at Sound Transit's Beacon Hill Station is progressing on schedule. The construction of slurry wall panels for Headhouses and Shafts has been started recently.
Meanwhile, exploratory drilling is under way to determine the extent of water bearing sand and silt layers. These will be improved by jet grouting from the surface and dewatering with deep wells.
