Since 21st March 2016, Dr. Sauer & Partners has been supporting a Masters Thesis in coordination with the Technical University of Graz. The topic of the thesis is “Trigger Values in Sprayed Concrete Lined (SCL) Shallow Tunnels” and is prepared by Thomas Meixner. He is being supported by Dr. Ali Nashekian and Dr. Alexandra Onisie-Moldovan at Dr. Sauer & Partners and by Ao.Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.techn. M.Sc. tit.Univ.-Prof. Helmut Schweiger at the Technical University of Graz.
During his thesis, Thomas Meixner will spend three months at the Dr. Sauer & Partner offices in London to carry out research into which approaches have been developed in this topic in the past. He will also research how they have been applied in different projects the company has worked on as well as in other projects with other companies. Subsequently, calculations with the FE Analysis program Abaqus will be realised to solve an explicit problem.
