On Thursday, 1st December 2016, the UK’s second National Tunnelling Day takes place. At Dr. Sauer & Partners, we celebrate our involvement in the many successful UK tunnelling projects planned, currently underway, as well as those that have been completed and are in full operation.

The compliance stage design of the Sprayed Concrete Lined (SCL) tunnelling for Bank Station Capacity Upgrade is now complete and has been accepted by London Underground.
Construction works for San Francisco’s Central Subway Project to create a modern light rail line has been under way since 2013. Dr. Sauer & Partners forms part of the SEM (Sequential Excavation Method) construction works for the Chinatown station which started in May this year.

Since 21st March 2016, Dr. Sauer & Partners has been supporting a Masters Thesis in coordination with the Technical University of Graz. The topic of the thesis is “Trigger Values in Sprayed Concrete Lined (SCL) Shallow Tunnels” and is prepared by Thomas Meixner.
